I am looking forward to meeting and chatting with you! Therapy is an exciting but also anxiety-provoking process, and I'm hopeful that we can go through it together. My approach I take a collaborative approach to treatment and am committed to using a strengths-based perspective to support my clients in building the skills that will help them achieve their goals. I have a laid-back, direct, validating, and humor-focused style in session. My primary therapeutic modalities include mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and behavioral interventions. My focus It is important that a client feels comfortable being open and honest with their therapist. A supportive and inviting environment that fosters two-way communication ensures that clients feel comfortable offering their clinician feedback to advocate for their needs. My communication style I use directness, sarcasm, and humor to build rapport with my clients. I believe that honesty and trust are the most important parts of any relationship, including the relationship between a client and their therapist. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology, Master's degree in clinical psychology, and have an advanced graduate certificate in community counseling as well as a certification in DBT. I worked in community mental health and behavioral intervention in the education system before making the transition to private practice. My goals for you You are the expert on you! We will work together to identify what your goals are and the best way to work towards them. I am here for support and guidance, but you've lived as you for years - I am just meeting you! My first session with you Our first session will be spent getting to know each other and getting a feel for personality and style. We will talk about what led you to reach out for therapy and what goals you are hoping to work towards.
