Often time trauma that occurs can get buried yet it will resurface as other types of problems later in life. Examining external factors to our mental health is equally as important as our internal factors. Therefore exploring both ends of the spectrum is key when working with individual clients. Circular causality looks into the many different ways an open or closed system (e.g. work life, family life, marriage) is out of balance.
