Getting to know Carla Gehle

Hi there, I'm Carla! I have over a decade of experience helping motivate clients from many different backgrounds with a range of counseling needs using a solution-focused, client-centered approach to overcome their struggles in life. I use my skill set in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to guide my clients toward their desired change. My education includes a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from National Louis University, Lisle, a Bachelor’s from North Central College, and certifications as a Behavior Change Specialist, Personal Trainer, and Nutrition Specialist. I have also completed Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman’s Relationship Method Therapy training. My approach I like to provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment for my clients. I offer guidance, support, and clinical interventions to help my clients move forward with their presenting struggles. I use CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing in my daily therapeutic practice. My focus My ideal client is someone who is ready to do the hard work and open to the idea of change. My client is engaged and excited about the process. My communication style I actively listen to my clients and provide a supportive ear.

I have been going to Carla Gehle for over a year now. She has definitely brought light to the end of my tunnel. I was able to come to certain realizations to different issues and the struggles that I was having I was able to look at it from different angels. My husband and I were very skeptical about seeing someone to help us. With much convincing and research we found carla. We've had a handful of sessions and my husband and I already feel the bridging. Successful dates nights!! Breaking out of our shell and trying something new gave us new perspective and living happily ever after is a happy goal in sight!
