I'm so happy that you are considering getting help with counseling. I am Carla McGehee, a licensed professional counselor. I have professionally worked with individuals, couples, and teenagers for over 10 years, both online and in a clinic setting. Before my formal education, I gained 3 years of experience in lay counseling by facilitating a support group in a Baptist church. I completed my Master's in Professional Counseling at Dallas Baptist University and have been licensed since November 2015.
I use counseling theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, which allow me the most flexibility to incorporate biblical remedies without any interference. These approaches also help us explore how negative situations we encounter can sometimes be rooted in past negative experiences.
