Getting to know Carli Wargo

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge, and have been working in the field for several years. I utilize a nonjudgmental, compassionate approach to treating clients of all ages and from many different backgrounds. I believe in the importance of the genuine human relationship in therapy as well as the importance of building trust from the start! In addition to traditional talk therapy, I also offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. This is the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My first goal is for clients to feel safe, comfortable, and heard in therapy. I utilize a person-centered approach to treatment. This means that my client is the expert on their life. As a therapist, my goal is to empower and motivate clients to meet their goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At our first session, you can tell me what is bringing you to therapy. I will gather information about your goals and expectations and we can talk about what, if anything, in your life you hope to see change. From there, we work collaboratively through the process.
