Getting to know Carlo Veconi

Hello, and allow me to be the first to welcome you to this first step in your journey towards reclaiming your life as your own. Many of us start therapy because of challenges we bump into in our everyday lives, whether that includes struggling to adjust to life's many changes, stressors at work or in relationships, experiences with anxiety or depression, battling internal feelings of shame or unworthiness, difficulties making choices about life's next steps, or managing the long term effects of trauma. I am here to navigate it all with you to achieve a deeper understanding of what's going on and to begin to heal those wounds that never seem to close, as well as clear away the complexities that may be slowing you down.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hold a Master's Degree from NYU's Silver School of Social Work and I have over 5+ years of experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, and substance use disorders. I am passionate about working with adults and adolescents through life transitions and navigating the challenges that life brings.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My psychotherapy practice is emotion-focused and liberation-based, emphasizing the importance of people's uniqueness in relation to the world we live in to achieve healing through therapy that most aligns with you. I take influence from Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as relational psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to inform my work with clients. Though healing doesn't always feel good, acceptance and warmth is something that each human being needs, and it can start in our therapy.
