Carlos Palomo, LCSW

Psychotherapist
721 12200 S, Draper, UT
I have been working in mental healthcare since 2016, and spent 7 years working in suicidality, psychosis, and Crisis Intervention. I also have experience working with patients in acute distress, which has given me the opportunity to understand how to best collaborate and create spaces externally and internally that invoke a sense of safety. The therapeutic process creates room for vulnerability, awareness, and courage to engage with difficult emotions and experiences. My approach is eclectic and curated to better optimize facilitation for patients to experience growth and healing. Please note: I am accepting new patients for ongoing therapy sessions. I do not provide medication management support.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a bilingual, Spanish-speaking psychotherapist, I draw from psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. My approach is eclectic, trauma-informed, and collaborative, tailored to each client’s needs. I specialize in creating safety, fostering self-love, and guiding clients toward healing and transformation. My clinical style is conversational and egalitarian to ensure an open, warm and genuine therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin with a thorough evaluation to understand your history, current challenges, and goals. From there, we work together to develop a customized treatment plan, which may include therapy referrals, medication management, or advanced options such as ketamine-assisted therapy, Spravato®, or TMS. I check in regularly with my clients, adjusting treatment as needed to ensure you feel supported at every step of your journey.

More information on payments and coverage

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stella Mental Health (formerly Numinus) containing your intake paperwork. Please allow about 30 minutes to complete this form. Your responses will help your provider prepare for your upcoming appointment. All patients are required to complete the intake form 24 business hours before their appointment. You will receive a phone call from one of our dedicated Care Advocates, who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. If a payment method is not provided, your appointment may be canceled. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full intake appointment fee ($292). During your intake appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If in-person treatments are recommended—such as TMS, Spravato, DSR SGB, or ketamine therapy—our care team will guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
