With an MA and as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist. I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our sessions. I specialize in treating addiction, trauma, depression, anger management, assertiveness, grief, work relationships, family relationships, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, shame experiences, and many other issues. I work with individuals aged 20 and up, and I am passionate about helping my clients navigate life's challenges and transitions. Originally from Michigan, I now reside in Georgia, but my journey has taken me through Iowa, Illinois, Hawaii, Colorado, and Tennessee. This adventurous spirit has allowed me to meet people from all walks of life, enriching my understanding and appreciation of diverse perspectives. My husband and I have been married since 1976, and we have four grown children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Our home is filled with love and companionship, thanks to our cat, Kathmandu (Kat for short), and our dog, Daisy Mae. In my professional life, I currently work full-time as a Mental Health Unit Manager. As I begin to transition into partial retirement, I am thrilled to join the SonderMind family.
