Carmen Gazzilli, LPC Associate

Carmen Gazzilli, LPC Associate

Psychotherapist
1306 Kingwood Dr, Ste D, Kingwood, TX
My path to counseling wasn't a straight line. After years in real estate and raising a blended family, I went back to school for my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling because I wanted to help people through the same kinds of challenges, transitions, and relationships I'd navigated myself. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Michelle Wolf, LPC-S, I work with teens, individuals, and couples on anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship issues, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and person-centered approaches. I believe healing happens in a supportive, judgment-free space, and I'm honored to walk alongside my clients as they build healthier relationships and find lasting peace.

Getting to know Carmen Gazzilli

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, you can expect a warm, judgment-free space where you're never rushed and never judged. I bring compassion, honesty, and hope to every session, whether we're working through anxiety, grief, a major life transition, or challenges in a relationship. With couples, I focus on rebuilding trust and strengthening connection using tools like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. With individuals, I blend CBT and a person-centered approach to help you build practical coping skills while feeling truly heard. My own winding path into this work — through a career change and raising a blended family — shapes how I show up for clients: with real empathy for how messy transitions can be, and a real belief that change is possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session together is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, your history, and what you're hoping will feel different, and we'll start shaping some goals together. From there, sessions typically run 50-55 minutes, weekly or every other week depending on what you need. I meet you where you are: some sessions we're talking through what's been happening and processing it together, other times we're building concrete coping skills using CBT, or working through patterns using Emotionally Focused Therapy. With couples, I often use the Gottman Method to help identify unhealthy patterns and rebuild trust and connection, so sessions may include structured exercises alongside open conversation. Throughout, I check in on how things are progressing and adjust our approach as needed. This is a collaborative process, and you're always welcome to tell me what's working and what isn't.
