Getting to know Carmen Mercado

I am a bilingual LMFT licensed in California. I have worked in different mental health settings, including non-profit organizations and working with children. I worked as a social worker and did my internship in a drug rehabilitation center. I have worked with domestic violence, anxiety, depression substance abuse. I take a client-centered and solution-focused approach.. I work with clients to develop a meditation practice to improve mood regulation and relaxation. By collaborating, you will discover your strengths and passions. I specialize in life and childhood trauma, psychosomatic illness, families dealing with Alzheimer's disease, and alcohol. ALL types of addiction, FAMILY scapegoating, self-esteem issues, and relational difficulties. I personally experienced lots of challenges in my life, and I am aware of the difficulties we encounter in having to create a new life and a new perspective on life. However, when we really want change, it's better to do it with someone who has been through similar life experiences and challenges believe I can offer my expertise as a professional and my life experience.
