Dr. Carmen Pulido, PhD

Psychotherapist
TX
I am Carmen Pulido, and Spanish is my native language. I completed my bachelor's degree at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). I then earned a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Psychology from San Diego State University. I am trained as a cognitive-behavioral therapist and have pursued neuropsychology and substance treatment as subspecialties. I am experienced with acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention for substance use disorders, and cognitive processing therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder. I have worked in several government settings, including the San Diego Veterans Healthcare System. I have two beautiful sons, and when my youngest finally left for college in 2018, I decided to obtain a master's degree in clinical pharmacology, which was a good way to stay busy during part of the pandemic. For fun, I love to travel, walk, and enjoy the opera. I look forward to working with you.
