Psychotherapist
IL
Whether you're feeling stuck, hurt, afraid, or angry, you deserve a compassionate, safe space to heal, grow, and be heard. I know starting therapy, or opening up to someone new, can feel daunting. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore feelings, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences, make sense of them, and move forward. I work collaboratively to help you identify and use your strengths, meet personal goals, and create a life that feels meaningful and satisfying. I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. I enjoy working with adults of all backgrounds and identities and specialize in anxiety disorders (including social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive–related disorders), grief and loss, relationship challenges, substance use concerns, trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions. As a trauma-informed therapist, I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also integrate additional approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to best meet your needs and preferences. Whatever you’re experiencing, you deserve compassion and hope. Through our therapeutic relationship, I offer a safe space to sit with discomfort, embrace vulnerability, and explore what change means for you. I’m honored to walk alongside you on this wondrous and imperfect journey of being human.
