Carol Queen, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
Life can be unpredictable and impact how a person copes with the stressors of everyday life. During chaotic times, many clients have mentioned feeling overwhelmed, angry, and anxious about their current situation. Regardless of the circumstances that led someone to reach out for therapy, they have taken the first step toward wanting to change. Therapy can provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where you are validated and encouraged to express how you feel. My goal is to foster a strong therapeutic relationship and help you reach your personal goals. I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist with extensive experience providing evidence-based counseling to individuals, groups, and families. I have worked with pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients and have served the military population while being a military spouse for a decade. Additionally, I have mental health experience providing crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment, and intensive family interventions. I am skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, trauma-informed care, and end-of-life services, and I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I hold a Master's in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University Central Texas.
