Getting to know Carol Williams
I specialize in life challenges that trigger stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, and PTSD. Stress, pain, fear, and confusion are alarm clocks that beg to be heard and answered. Therapy is one way to turn down the noise and listen to our inner voice. We can't always control what is outside of us, but we have the agency to engage self-mastery that guides that inner voice toward wisdom that heals and integrates the pieces we may have lost along the way. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support individuals through these complex experiences.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My philosophy is unique because I do not view therapy so much as someone coming in for "help," as much as I view it as someone coming in for "change." We meet various people on that path, and I hope I am one that is beneficial to your growth.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
