Getting to know Carole Kamradt

As a Certified Sex Therapist with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England, I enjoy helping couples enhance their emotional and physical connections. I know that facing life’s challenges is not easy. Talking about them and learning to manage life differently can increase our ability to live happier, more productive lives. My person-oriented style of counseling helps build the necessary skills for more satisfying relationships and life experiences. It is an honor to be included in a client’s healing process. I especially love helping improve the physical connection in couples and assisting them in overcoming and healing unhealthy cultural or emotional traumas that may inhibit the ability to have a fulfilling sexual relationship.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with couples to repair their relationships using the Gottman Method as well as elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy. As a Certified Sex Therapist, I enjoy helping couples to learn to meet each other's attachment needs and enhance their emotional and physical connections using tools and exercises to take home and practice. I hope you like homework!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a trauma informed therapist, I use a blend of cognitive, behavioral and psychodynamic modalities, plus EMDR and IFS to meet the specific needs and goals of each client. My experience includes working with both individuals and couples who are wanting to strengthen and deepen their relationships and improve their quality of life.
