I came to this work following my own healing journey, navigating trauma and finding holistic support for anxiety and depression. As a former college and national team athlete, I understand the gifts, pressures and challenges of competing at a high level. Although I believe growth comes from stretching ourselves and building resilience, I also understand the pain of feeling stuck and drained. After working as a journalist and also at a tech startup, I transitioned to psychotherapy in order to work directly with others in the service of connection and care. I wanted to share what I've learned in my own life, and in my education, with others in an authentic, supportive space. I believe that we all contain inner wisdom, and that therapy can be a tool to help us connect to it. I tailor my approach for each client, drawing on psychodynamic theory, CBT and mindfulness-based practices. I specialize in working with young women who are undergoing life changes or transitions, and addressing questions of identity and purpose. I so enjoy helping others empower themselves by addressing family challenges and dysfunction, trauma and burnout. I believe that when we are connected to a sense of purpose, we can more easily connect to other people and the world around us, and take pleasure in who we truly are. I work primarily with adults and young professionals, with a specialization in supporting young women. I have extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, and I take a client-centered, holistic approach to care. My clinical style is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I primarily work from a psychodynamic framework, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches to support insight, growth, and meaningful change.
