Bringing both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to every session, Caroline helps clients build real skills to manage difficult emotions, move through hard feelings rather than being controlled by them, and walk away with practical, forward-focused strategies. Every treatment plan is individualized to meet the specific needs around the client, never one-size-fits-all. She meets clients exactly where they are, without judgement, working from a strengths-based lens that highlights what’s already working, not just what’s broken. Caroline is currently accepting new clients for individual, couples, and family therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether you’re coming in for yourself or bringing in your child, my job isnt’t to hand you a diagnosis and a checklist, but to actually see you, understand what you’re carrying, and figure out together what you need to move forward. I work a lot with kids and teens, and what I hear most from parents is how well I’m able to form a therapeutic relationship with their child. While I prepare for every session, I don’t force an agenda. I meet clients where they are, without judgement, and I pay just as much attention to what’s already working in you as I do to what’s hard right now. I don’t perceive clients as broken. I see clients as navigating something difficult, and there’s a real difference between the two. Sessions with me won’t feel like a formula. I draw on a few different approaches depending on what you need. Sometimes that may mean building concrete tools to handle anxiety or big emotions, sometimes it’s working through family or peer dynamics together, or sometimes it’s simply learning to sit with hard feelings instead of being swept up by them. But no two clients are alike and each client’s plan is their own. If there’s one thing I want every new client to walk away with, it’s a stronger sense of their own worth, and their own ability to handle what’s ahead.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Everything starts with trust. Before we can do any work together, you need to feel genuinely safe. That means safe to be honest, safe to be messy, safe to who up exactly as you are without fear of judgement. So in our early sessions, that’s my main focus: getting to know you, letting you get a feel for me, and building the kind of relationship where you actually want to open up. This may take weeks or months, but we go at your pace and when you are ready. Once that foundation is there, I start paying close attention to what’s already inside you and your strengths, the resilience, the unique way you see the world. So often, clients come in focused only on what’s wrong or what’s missing. Part of my job is helping you notice the beauty and gifts you already carry, even the ones you might not recognize yourself yet. That shift in perspective is often where the real change begins. From there, we build our goals together. Not a plan I hand you, but one we create side by side, based on what actually matters to you. And because life isn’t static, neither is the plan. We check-in regularly, and if something isn’t working or your needs shift, we adjust. Therapy isn’t a fixed script; it’s a living process that evolves with you. Above all, my goal is for you to leave our work together with a stronger sense of who you are, what you’re capable of, and the confidence to keep moving forward, with or without me.
