Getting to know Caroline Marks

Welcome! We all encounter struggles that are hard to manage on our own. You have already made a big first step in overcoming life's challenges by seeking a therapist. I am passionate about helping make daily life easier to manage. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Florida and have been practicing individual and group therapy for over 4 years. Additionally, I bring 8 years of experience working in the medical field, during which I provided grief and loss counseling to those with a terminal diagnosis and their families. Choosing the right therapist can be an intimidating task. I am here to help! I look forward to assisting you in overcoming challenges and being the best version of yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, we will start with brief introductions. From there I'd love to hear what brought you to seeking therapy, what you'd like to work on and what your goals are. If you feel you cannot yet answer these questions, that's ok. We will find the answers together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My clients have had great success with treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Treatment and Strength-Based Treatment as we work together in rethinking unhelpful trains of thought. We will discover new patterns of behavior and better coping skills to help manage and overcome psychological issues and general struggles in life. I also use a number of other treatment methods and cater my approach to meeting each individual wherever they are in life and in their mental state. Therapy is not a one size fits all method, therefore my approach with clients varies on the client's needs.

Caroline has been excellent in helping me navigate through life's challenges. Her warmth, understanding, and insightful guidance have been invaluable. Her empathy and non-judgmental attitude have created a safe space for me to open up and be vulnerable, something I never thought I could do with a therapist. I feel like I can truly be myself in her presence, and that has been so liberating for me. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a therapist!
