What should a new client know about working with you?

Above all, I want this to feel like a space where you can be fully yourself — no filtering, no explaining yourself twice. Many of the people I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or worried they won't be understood, especially LGBTQ+ clients looking for care that truly affirms who they are. You set the pace here. My job is to listen closely, meet you where you're at, and make sure you always feel in control of the process — not the other way around.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions are really about listening — understanding your story, what's weighing on you, and what "better" would actually look like for you. From there, I lean on different tools depending on what you need: sometimes that's building concrete coping skills for anxiety, other times it's slowing down to process a big transition or relationship dynamic. There's no fixed script - sessions shift as you grow, and I check in often to make sure the approach still feels right for you. Progress here looks like steadiness, clarity, and feeling more like yourself again.
