You’ve been trying everything, and your child is still struggling. Maybe they’re acting out, shutting down, anxious all the time, or just not seeming like themselves lately. It’s painful to watch your child hurting, and even harder when you’re not sure what to do next. You just want to help them feel better, but nothing seems to work. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or at the end of your rope, please know: you are not alone, and there is help. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, teens, and families to support emotional healing and growth. I help kids learn how to cope with big feelings, build confidence, and express themselves in healthy ways. At the same time, I partner with parents—offering support, guidance, and tools you can use at home to feel more equipped and connected. In our sessions, I use child-friendly approaches like play therapy, art, and evidence-based strategies (like CBT and trauma-informed care) to create a safe, supportive space where your child can open up and grow. Every child is different, so I tailor my approach to meet your family’s unique needs. You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to go through this alone. If you're ready to take a step toward understanding and helping your child in a deeper way, I’m here when you’re ready.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I know how hard it can be to reach out for help, especially when it comes to your child. From our very first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where both you and your child feel supported, understood, and never judged. I take a gentle, collaborative approach, moving at your child’s pace, while helping you make sense of what’s going on underneath the behaviors. I believe in partnering with parents, not sidelining them. You know your child best, and together we’ll build a plan that feels realistic, compassionate, and tailored to your family’s needs. Sessions might include play, art, talking, or skill-building, depending on your child’s age and comfort level. Above all, I want you to know this: you’re not alone in this. I’ll meet you with warmth, honesty, and respect every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with getting to know you and your child. In the first session, I meet with you (the parent or caregiver) to understand your concerns, your child’s history, and what you’re hoping for. This gives us space to talk openly without your child present and sets the foundation for a supportive partnership. Next, I meet with your child for a few sessions to build trust and learn how they experience the world—through play, conversation, or creative expression depending on their age and comfort level. As I get to know them, I’ll also be learning what approaches will best support their growth and healing. From there, we create a plan together. I provide ongoing support through regular check-ins with you, so you feel included and equipped with tools that work at home, too. My process is flexible, compassionate, and always guided by your child’s needs and your family’s goals.
