Our world can be a daunting place, filled with constant change and events beyond our control. This can leave us feeling adrift and struggling to find where we fit in. Yet, amidst this uncertainty, there are also moments of unexpected delight and fresh possibilities. As your therapist, my aim is to embrace these contradictions by providing a space where you can navigate both the challenges and the joys of life. Together we’ll work to move beyond mere survival and towards a life lived fully and authentically. Like any other relationship in your life, the therapeutic connection hinges on the bond we form. My goal is to nurture a positive connection between us—one built on mutual respect, empathy, and empowerment. Using a collaborative, flexible, and culturally sensitive approach, I create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and free to be yourself. In therapy, my approach stems from a relational perspective and draws upon psychodynamic and person-centered theories. I will assist you in exploring past experiences that continue to impact you and offer insights to help increase self-awareness and facilitate your own healing journey. I am also passionate about the connection between the mind and body and I sometimes incorporate aspects of mindfulness, breathwork, and movement in my therapy sessions. I enjoy working with people of all ages and identities and I particularly enjoy working with emerging adults, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and folx experiencing life transitions and transformations of any kind. Throughout my training, I’ve gained experience working with those experiencing emotional and mood concerns, identity & self esteem exploration, perfectionism, relationship and family difficulties, academic and vocational distress, and grief and loss.
