Getting to know Carolyn Washington
Greetings, I am a licensed professional counselor and certified biblical therapist with an extensive background working with children, adolescents, and families. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and hold an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University. As a community leader, I served in K-12 education for over 26 years and recently retired to be more available to provide counseling.
I am particularly passionate about working with those who experience anxiety, depression, anger, and grief, as I have focused much of my work in these areas. Licensed in Texas, I bring years of professional experience helping clients manage stress and anxiety, cope with grief and loss, and address anger management, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence.
Additional areas of focus include caregiver issues and stress, chronic pain, illness and disability, communication problems, control issues, forgiveness, guilt and shame, isolation and loneliness, life purpose, and self-love.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
