Caron Warner, LPC

Caron Warner, LPC

Psychotherapist
NJ
Caron Warner is a “Licensed Professional Counselor" and their license number is 37PC01233800. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and EMDR-trained therapist. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Counseling. But more than credentials, what I bring into the room is presence. I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, identity development, substance use concerns, and life transitions. I work with individuals ages 10 and up, and my approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply relational. I use evidence-based approaches, including EMDR and trauma-informed practices, but therapy with me never feels clinical or cold. It feels like conversation, exploration, and sometimes — gentle challenge.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in meeting you where you are without judgment. I tend to use an eclectic style that pulls from CBT, DBT, trauma-informed, person-centered, attachment-based, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches depending on your needs, goals, and what actually feels helpful to you. Sessions are a space where you can show up as your full self messy thoughts, complicated feelings, dark humor, uncertainty and all and together we’ll work on building insight, coping skills, emotional safety, and meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me is conversational, supportive, and tailored to what you need that day. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions, relationships, trauma, identity, stress, or life transitions, while others may be more skill based and practical working on coping tools, communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, or changing unhelpful thought patterns. I try to create a space that feels comfortable, collaborative, and human, where you don’t have to have everything figured out before showing up. In our first few sessions, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, your history, current stressors, strengths, and goals so we can build a treatment approach together that feels realistic and supportive. I move at your pace and believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and actively involved in the process.
