No matter where you are in your journey right now, you are on the right track here. These bios are meant to get your attention, but to pay attention, a person needs to feel comfortable with what is coming at them. So, let's think about what works for you? Do you prefer someone who has walked your path, or do you lack validation of your feelings? Perhaps someone providing directive skills is better for you? There is no perfect path to healing. However, I believe the biggest benefit of counseling is that the client gets to spend 45-55 minutes sharing anything without social consequences. With a few of these supportive hours, you will likely start to see something change. What is in it for me, though? Well, I get the honor of meeting and helping many unique individuals, and buying groceries. My approach My practice is in a rural setting on a mini-farm. It is relaxed and natural. My journey has led to this peaceful place. It has taken hard work, trust, patience, forgiveness (for both myself and others), and tenacity. My approach comes from years of fostering relationships between friends and family of all ages, genders, and cultures. I am a mom, have been a wife, have been divorced, am a new grandmother, have field experience in addiction, and having learn how to love myself (even when faced with ugly truths). Combining this and 6 years of college allows me to have the good instincts necessary to tailor therapy that works for you. Humans don't all think the same, and there is no one technique that works for everyone. Therefore, whether you need to learn how thoughts and behaviors affect your life, how your parents affect your decisions, or how to tie up loose ends that you can't let go of, I can help. If I am struggling to get 'er done, I will reach out to my network of colleagues for suggestions. This way, you do not have to keep going back to the drawing board of another therapist, and telling your story all over again.
