Psychotherapist
MD
"Hello, I’m Carrie. As your therapist, I aim to be a guide along your life's journey, assisting you to reach a better place while honoring your self-determination. I believe we transform and heal when we have three pillars in place—Empowerment, Safety, and Connection. Together, we’ll explore where in your life these three pillars could be bolstered. I hope to provide you with the tools to grow and navigate life’s challenges while assisting you to strengthen your own personal experience of Empowerment, Safety, and Connection. My areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, neurodivergence, adjustment disorders, OCD, LGBTQIA+ support, Narcissism, and Trauma. I've worked with diverse clients from many walks of life with a wide variety of needs. As a result, I tailor my approach for clients using a strengths-based, person-centered approach. I use humor, wisdom, and insight along with my clinical training to create a supportive and effective therapeutic environment. A little about me—I’m a mom to three children. My oldest child is living on a college campus as a junior majoring in theater. My middle daughter is a sophomore living on a college campus majoring in chemical engineering. My youngest daughter is a sophomore in high school. In my spare time, I enjoy fostering dogs, going to art museums, serving on my town’s Ethics Committee, watching documentaries, and being outdoors. I graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice, joined the Peace Corps, and then stayed home with my children for a decade. I then graduated with a Master’s in Social Work in 2016 and began working as a therapist with adults in the general population. In the Spring of 2023, I started a job with Fello where I work with adults who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
