*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* Therapy is what you need it to be, when you need it to be. It's for everyone at every stage of life, offering a space to express your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment and to navigate challenges with support and confidence. In therapy, you can strategize your next move and even practice before trying it in real life. I enjoy working with clients navigating grief, loss, anxiety, depression, stress management, PTSD, and life’s ever-changing topography. Using a mindfulness-based, person-centered approach, I help my clients feel secure as they move into a space of healing and growth. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Online. As a mother of two amazing kids and the fourth generation on our family farm, I love my cows, chickens, and gardens. In my free time, I enjoy photographing nature, sewing, writing, reading, hiking, and spending time with my kids and pets. Healing is a gradual process. My goal is to provide a safe space to work through your hurts and customize my approach to your unique needs. Starting therapy, like any new journey, can be both scary and exciting. Let’s first identify where you want to be, then collaborate on the steps to get you there. Carrie Sutton has a Master’s in Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Carrie is a Mental Health Counselor with a Limited Permit, MHC-LP P124652 at Cerebral. Supervised by Russell Baptist Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 071815.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I've worked with clients ranging from age 3 to 86, but my ideal population is female service members and veterans seeking care outside the Tricare and VA systems. I'm also open to working with male clients and non-veterans, though my focus is on supporting those who have served.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a veteran myself, my passion is helping other veterans who are transitioning to civilian life and may be struggling with service related issues such as PTSD and MST. I use a person centered approach while building a relationship environment that allows for healing to take place. From there we will work together to find the modality that works best for you.
