Getting to know Casadi Khaki Marino

Do you need to be heard in a non-judgmental manner? Have you been hurt or disrespected? Are you struggling in a relationship or moving through grief or loss? Are you anxious, depressed, or uncertain? Do you care for a child who has experienced "big hurts" or overwhelming emotions? We are all doing the best we can. It takes courage to seek help. I hope to explore your story, concerns, and life goals. I provide individual therapy to adults and see children ages 3-12 and their caregivers. In addition, I have lived experience with autoimmune conditions and can offer an empathetic perspective to those who experience such challenges. I utilize a number of therapeutic approaches including CBT, EMDR, and Play Therapy. Play is the child's symbolic language & natural medium of expression. Through play therapy, children can express their experiences, feelings, needs, wishes, and perceptions of themselves, others, and the world. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have a PhD in Social Work and Social Research. I have worked as a clinician for over 25 years. Virginia Woolf once wrote in her diary, "Yes, I deserve a spring." I feel we could all use the support of therapy sometimes as we journey to better days.
