I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Minnesota and Wisconsin, offering trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating complex relational, emotional, and systemic challenges. My work supports those experiencing stress related to identity, family dynamics, chronic illness, emotional regulation, and the lasting effects of trauma. I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent individuals, immigrants, and people impacted by systems of oppression. My approach is grounded in relational and systemic thinking, integrating narrative therapy, somatic practices, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I aim to create a collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their values, deconstruct harmful patterns, and build self-trust. Whether you are seeking support in navigating relationships, making meaningful life changes, or managing emotional overwhelm, I offer practical tools alongside deep, reflective dialogue. Clients often come to me during periods of transition, burnout, or when seeking a more authentic connection to themselves and others. My goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and clarity, supporting sustainable change that reflects your truth and honors your lived experience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is collaborative, active, and grounded in mutual respect. I strive to create a space that balances warmth with directness, where we can be curious together about what’s working, what’s not, and why. My approach integrates relational and systemic therapy with somatic-based and DBT-informed tools, tailored to your needs. I often work with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or at odds with cultural or societal expectations—and together, we build capacity for self-trust, connection, and sustainable change. You can expect to be met with compassion, clarity, and an ongoing invitation to explore both insight and action. We'll go at your pace, but I will gently challenge you when needed to support your growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins by getting clear on what brings you in and what you hope will feel different. In the early sessions, I focus on understanding your story—what matters to you, what’s been hard, and how your relationships, identity, health, and environment all shape your current experience. Together, we’ll identify goals that feel meaningful and manageable, while also creating space for the unexpected to emerge. A typical session includes both reflection and skill-building. Depending on your needs, we may work on understanding patterns in your relationships, processing emotions, or practicing concrete tools to help with distress tolerance, boundaries, or nervous system regulation. I draw from systemic therapy, somatic-based approaches, and DBT to help connect insight to change—whether that means shifting how you relate to others, building a more compassionate internal dialogue, or navigating life transitions with more clarity. I often check in at the end of sessions about what felt useful, what didn’t, and how we can adjust. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you with honesty, care, and curiosity.
