Casey Wallis, LCPC

Psychotherapist
KS
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I provide teletherapy for adults 18 and up in the state of Kansas. I support clients dealing with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. I integrate different strategies I have found to be helpful to clients, but some of the main ways I help are through Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parts Work, and Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy. My approach I take time to get to each client, and I tailor my approach to therapy depending on each person's needs and goals. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach, looking at how thoughts, emotions, physical experience, and spirituality/community interact to either keep you stuck or help you move forward. Some of the main ways I help are EMDR (using the way our brain and body naturally process to work through negative thoughts and experience), parts work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. My focus I love supporting clients in making positive changes in their lives, whether that is overcoming big experiences that are holding them back or making day-to-day changes that add up to a big impact. I specialize in helping clients work through anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, self-discovery, and more. I have experience helping clients recover from abuse and domestic violence. My communication style I take a warm, non-judgmental approach that encourages clients to have self-compassion while also feeling empowered to make the necessary changes. I want my clients to feel supported and heard throughout their therapy experience. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been interested in psychology and in helping others, but I was not always sure what that would look like in my life. I spent several years helping customers make claims at some of the worst moments of their lives, when I decided I wanted to do more to help.
