Hi I'm Casey. I specialize in helping clients through times of major change and clients who need healing from anxiety or trauma. Change can be stressful! Events like starting college, changing career, getting married, going through a break-up, experiencing empty-nest, divorce, loss, retirement, or other life transitions can be easier with support. Together we will explore big questions such as "Who am I?", " Where do I go from here?", and "What do I want my life to be like going forward?". Trauma and anxiety may be related to past or recent experiences, relationship concerns, grief, or other issues, Having worked to manage anxiety and stress myself, I understand how challenging change can be. Through tools that I pass on, insights we uncover, and processing past wounds, together we will work toward more freedom and fulfillment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you meet with me, I come alongside you to establish goals that are guided by your needs and what is important to you. We then work towards those goals together. I take a holistic, integrated approach, bringing together techniques from several types of therapy. My main modalities are EMDR, Emotion Focused Individual Therapy, Parts work, Client Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I will gather information that will set the stage for our future meetings. I will ask questions to understand where you are coming from, what is currently working and not working for you, and what you want to work on together. We will put together a plan of action that forms the framework of the next sessions. Each session I will check in with you regarding how you are doing. Individual sessions may include learning new tools to cope with stress, anxiety, emotions, and/or trauma. We may also process through talking or through different techniques that have been tested to help us make lasting change. One of my favorite modalities is EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This is a long term that stands for a type of therapy that, through tapping or other methods, helps our brains process hard things. By doing so we move from unhealthy ways of thinking that keep us from living our best lives, to more healthy ways of thinking. Feel free to ask me about this when we talk. I'd love to explain more.
