Getting to know Cassandra Barnes
Greetings. I am Cassandra, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve you as your Trusted Professional Therapist/Counselor. I completed my undergraduate degree at Prairie View A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1988, and I obtained my Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have more than three decades of comprehensive healthcare experience. I am both a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Therapist, with over 20 years of non-licensed counseling and case-management experience. My desire is to use my extensive healthcare background to provide a unique and beneficial counseling experience for my clients.
My primary therapeutic styles are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Mindfulness and Spirituality upon client request. Other proven therapeutic modalities may be integrated based on specific client needs or preferences.
I approach my clients with dignity, compassion, and respect, accepting them wherever they are in their life cycle. It would be my honor and privilege to serve as your therapist and assist you in identifying and addressing the challenges you may be facing.
