After working for different mental health agencies, Trina created the practice with a desire to change the mental health industry. There was a clear need to tailor a different approach in meeting the needs of the community. Trina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Specialist. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University. She specializes in treating children, teens and families using a variety of interactive and evidence based techniques. Her therapeutic approach is based on holistic principles and is client-centered. She believes in becoming a partner with her clients to explore needs, develop goals, and help them achieve their highest level of functioning. Some modalities Trina uses most often include: Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Inner-Child Work, Gottman Method for couples, Mindfulness Practices and Trauma Focused Therapy. Additionally, she has received specialized training in Adoption Competency to treat children in post-adoptive homes. Trina was born in and grew up in the Treasure Coast. She resides in Palm City with her family and pup. She enjoys retreating to nature in her free time. Aside from being a therapist, her most adored role in life is being a mom to her five year old daughter. She loves the community she lives in and is passionate about helping others reach fulfillment and satisfaction.
