Hi there, I'm Catherine! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Haven of the Phoenix Counseling. I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support for those navigating trauma, substance misuse, and life’s challenges. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. My focus I work with adults who are struggling with the lasting effects of trauma, difficult relationships, substance misuse, anxiety, and life experiences that continue to impact their emotional well-being. I provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space to explore those patterns to work toward healing and meaningful change. My approach My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I work with you to understand the experiences and patterns affecting your life while using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, IFS, DBT, ACT, and attachment-focused therapy. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful. My communication style My communication style is warm, honest, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe in creating a space where you can speak openly and feel truly heard while also receiving thoughtful, direct feedback when it can support your growth. I strive to communicate with empathy, respect, and authenticity throughout the therapeutic process. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a counselor grew from a desire to do work that felt deeply meaningful and centered on helping others. After a career in technology and business, I pursued my master’s degree in professional counseling and discovered a passion for understanding how trauma, relationships, and life experiences shape the way we see ourselves. My goals for you I help clients identify meaningful goals by exploring what they want to change, what may be getting in the way, and what progress looks like for them.
