Cathryn Azinger, LCSW

Psychotherapist
MO
The world is a crazy place these days, lots of changes and transitions. I have talked with multiple people recently who are feeling at least a little stressed and down. I specialize in narrative talk therapy with CBT (cognitive based therapy) components, helping clients reshape their personal stories and develop practical tools for change. My approach is solution-focused, fostering healing through insight, humor, and a relaxed atmosphere. I believe growth happens best when we feel comfortable, seen, heard, and even find moments to laugh along the way. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, depression, or life transitions, I provide a supportive and engaging space to explore your experiences and build a path forward. I earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Florida in Criminal Justice with minor in psychology in 2005. I completed my Masters of Social Work degree in 2011 at the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2019, however I have been practicing Social Work for almost 20 years and have worked in several different settings including Community mental health and medical home health care, Medical inpatient, employee assistance, adoptions and currently work with homeless veterans. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan so that you can get the tools you need to help you reach your goals. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and for that I appreciate you. Please contact me to see if we're a good fit.
