Psychotherapist
WI
Hi there, I'm Caylee! Hi there! I'm so glad you're here! It's a big step to start therapy and find who and what will be the best fit for you. My approach My therapy style is very client-centered, as everyone has different needs. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and internal family systems (IFS) models in my treatment. Together we'll find what works best to address your specific needs. My focus My focus so far in my career has been working with children, teens and young adults who have experienced trauma and the many challenges that come along with it. I have a very specific background in sexual and physical abuse. I am currently working toward my certification in perinatal mental health as well. I have a special interest in working with individuals who have experienced infertility, miscarriage, child loss, and birth trauma. My communication style Communication is key! I always try to provide an environment where you will feel comfortable to share your experiences without fear of judgement. You can expect me to both listen and validate, but also challenge you when necessary. My journey to mental healthcare I knew early on that I wanted to be a therapist. A quote I've always been drawn to is "be who you needed when you were younger". I needed someone to listen, provide support, and be there for me through all that life brings. Now I can happily say that I am that person for others. My goals for you Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you. Throughout our treatment we'll review your goals periodically to assess your progress and changes that need to be made to ensure it’s always meaningful and relevant to you. My first session with you Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. You'll have the space to ask me any questions you may have to see if we are a good fit together as well.
