“Chad was very nice, felt like I was listened to and he was right off the bat working with me on treatment and long term goals, and most importantly I felt like a normal person and not just a “client”! Not something you get too often with most therapists so I am happy to continue working with him.”

Getting to know Chad Inker

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Newtown, PA, certified in trauma, with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Arcadia University and a Bachelor's degree from Rider University. I am passionate about supporting adults and teens who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, sadness, loneliness, disconnection, panic attacks, or overwhelming stress. I also work with couples who want to strengthen their bond or work through challenging conflicts. My mission is to provide a warm and understanding space where clients can find the tools they need to move forward in a healthy and fulfilling way. I specialize in trauma therapy because I know how deeply it can affect every part of a person's life. I’m also highly experienced in supporting individuals with physical disabilities, creating a safe space where every story is valued. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, I help individuals explore how trauma shapes their thoughts and behaviors. Together, we work on grounding and coping techniques that foster resilience, empowering clients to regain a sense of control and safety. My approach is about more than just managing symptoms-it's about helping clients develop healthier, more positive ways of thinking and living. I support them in recognizing and changing negative thought patterns, building coping skills that encourage self-compassion, and fostering deeper connections to themselves and others. I believe in working collaboratively, setting clear and achievable mental health goals, and guiding clients toward lasting change and personal growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Finding the right therapist can feel like a personal journey, full of doubts and questions like, "Will they really get what I'm going through?" or "Do I have the strength to face these challenges?" If you're asking yourself whether therapy is the right step, I'm here to say that you're not alone—and I'm here to help. My goal is to listen, understand, and offer guidance, all without judgment. I work with people who are looking for a place where they can just be themselves—a space that's comfortable, open, and free of judgment. My clients often tell me they feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings without holding back, and that's the environment I strive to create. Once we've built that trusting connection, we can start addressing whatever is weighing you down, working together to make changes that lead to a more satisfying life. My approach to therapy is flexible, adapting to what you need. I draw from a range of techniques to find what works best for you. We'll explore different tools and strategies together, helping you find the right path to reach your goals. I look forward to getting to know you, supporting you, and walking alongside you as you take steps toward a better life. I am an out of network provider. I do give each of my client's receipts for insurance reimbursement. I do require 24 hour notice for cancelations.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions are usually 50 minutes long, but if you feel like you've shared everything and are ready to conclude, we'll end the session when it feels right for you. Therapy is about your needs and pace, but as your therapist, I will guide and support you throughout the process. I offer both weekly and biweekly appointments, depending on what best suits your journey. The environment I create is warm, empathic, and caring—ensuring you feel safe, understood, and supported as we work together toward your goals. I also offer telehealth therapy, so you can access support from the comfort of your own space.

Chad is very insightful, and not willingly to allow you to short change yourself, or the situations you are in. Chad is extremely understanding, and forthcoming. He will call you out whenever the situation seems it to be necessary, but will make sure you know it’s from a place of willingness and wanting you to grow. He is not one to allow you to dangle out on a limb alone, and is willing to be around when you need it the most. He is easy to talk to and through incase you need an advocate for your particular issue.
He is easy to talk to and relate to. He is observant and non-judgmental. I trust and respect him. He is a great listener. He is always flexible with his calendar and will make himself available, if necessary, between appointments. I can be myself around him and very comfortable talking to him about anything.
Chad is an awesome counselor, a great listener and is easy to talk with. I have been seeing him for a few years and appreciate his practice. He has helped me through some difficult times and has helped me with my personal “stuff “. Highly recommended
Dr. Chad is amazing. He has saved my marriage from ending. And he has been great with helping me work through my anxiety issues.
Chad is wonderful. He is kind, caring and compassionate. He is always available when I need him and is very responsive to messages. He has been a tremendous help to me in some difficult times. I highly recommend him
Chad is a wonderful therapist. I have been seeing him since last Summer and he has helped me out a lot. I definitely recommend him!
Chad Inker is an amazing therapist/mental health provider. During a time when I didn’t know how to deal with my mental health, I needed someone who was going to break down the walls of uncertainty and who would listen to my concerns. That someone was/is Chad Inker LLC. He takes his time and listens to what I tell him. Funny thing, he’s the first medical professional I do what he suggests, not like other medical professionals I say I will and don’t. Just being honest! Chad is honestly the best therapist/mental health provider out there. He truly cares about his patients, he gives you the tools that will help you deal with those tough times & you’re never rushed out of the office like other providers make you feel. He cares and that’s exactly what I need in a therapist/mental health provider. You do too!
chad has been a great listener/helper for many years. he always remembers our conversations and has great advice for any and all situations. he makes it easy to vent about my situations when others dont and i am very thankful for the change i have seen in myself the past 5+ years in treatment with him. if you are looking for someone who will give you the time, space, and thought than i highly recommend chad!
Chad is always on time whenever I have a session with him whether in-person or via Telehealth. He always makes the effort to schedule sessions ASAP when needed and is great with accommodating to my busy schedule. He always remains professional and unbiased and has been for the last 5 years.
