Getting to know Chadvina L Skyers
My approach to therapy is person-centered, and I tailor my services to your specific needs. I operate from a psychodynamic theoretical orientation, believing that understanding our past experiences and situations is essential to better comprehend our present. With this perspective, I focus on helping you recognize certain thought patterns and behaviors and, in some cases, recover suppressed experiences and memories. I have specialized trauma training in EMDR and Brainspotting, which I incorporate when needed. I hold a Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University. I have a passion for working with minority and marginalized (LGBTQA) communities to break the stigma around therapy and raise awareness of generational traumas. My goal is to redefine what it means to address mental and emotional wellness by offering non-traditional and alternative healing techniques. With over 8 years of experience working with children as young as 4 through adults of all ages, I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
