Hello! I'm Chanelle, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I am genuinely passionate about assisting clients on their journey to emotional wellness. My approach to therapy is grounded in being genuine, authentic, and compassionate. I believe in the power of unconditional positive regard and use humor and empathy to connect with my clients on a human level. I graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University with a degree in Psychology and went on to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations, ranging from children to seniors. My experience includes several years at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, where I served as both a Program Therapist and Lead Therapist, providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as conducting assessments. Additionally, I spent five years at Emory working with children with autism, which has deepened my passion for supporting individuals with special needs. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, family relationships, gender identity, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, PTSD, sex/intimacy issues, stress, and trauma. With my in-depth knowledge of various diagnoses and treatment modalities, I am well-equipped to help you navigate through your challenges. In our sessions, I will meet you where you are and assist you in becoming the best version of yourself. My person-centered approach emphasizes the importance of fostering a positive and strong therapeutic relationship.
