Psychotherapist
CA
During a time of instability, some form of consistency helps create a small sense of normal. Establishing a routine is essential, especially during a pandemic when our ground has shifted and habits have been altered or broken. In a period requiring social distancing and isolation, we are also forced to slow down. We are given the choice to find ways to connect, look within, learn, adapt, and grow. My name is Channie Amato, and I have hand-selected a team of excellent therapists with various specialties. We strive to create a therapeutic space of comfort and support, meeting clients where they are. We work with a wide range of clients dealing with issues including anxiety, depression, addictive behaviors, LGBT concerns, eating disorders, codependency, grief and loss, life transitions, and trauma. We offer different forms of skills, including art therapy, mindfulness, breath work, psychoeducation, CBT, and coping strategies. This is a unique time that we are all collectively experiencing-a true life adjustment as we begin to settle into these changes. As we are pushed out of our habits, we have the choice to slow down, look within, explore, self-reflect, and start from the ground up. It is a time to be honest with ourselves so we can truly learn our truth. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Seeking help is one of the hardest things to do. Making the first phone call is the next step towards your recovery. Finding the right therapist is so important in your treatment. "My promise is, if it's not a good fit for you, I will provide you assistance in finding a therapist that can guide you to a positive experience in your recovery". As a mother of three children, Channie has a deeper understanding of the challenges a family might face, and a greater appreciation to the family dynamic.
