What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me means having a safe and supportive space to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. I believe therapy works best when we build a strong, trusting relationship where you feel seen, respected, and understood. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth—I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be. I integrate practical tools with genuine conversation, so you can not only process emotions but also develop concrete skills for managing stress, improving communication, and strengthening relationships. You can expect me to check in regularly about how therapy feels for you, to adjust our pace and approach based on your needs, and to celebrate your progress, big or small. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little more grounded, capable, and hopeful about the road ahead.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, my focus is on getting to know you—your goals, your challenges, and what you hope to change or better understand about yourself or your relationships. Together, we’ll clarify what’s bringing you to therapy and begin developing a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to your needs. A typical session is a mix of conversation, reflection, and skill-building. Some days we might focus on understanding patterns from your past that influence your current relationships or emotions; other days we’ll practice coping strategies or communication tools you can use right away. I check in often about how therapy is working for you and adjust our approach as we go. My goal is for sessions to feel collaborative, nonjudgmental, and genuinely helpful—a space where you can explore challenges, notice growth, and leave with a sense of clarity and direction.
