Charlene Salazar, PhD, LPC, is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. She believes everyone deserves a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to heal, grow, and achieve meaningful change.
Charlene provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship and family conflict, addiction, alcohol use concerns, bipolar disorder, parenting challenges, grief, and life transitions. She is also fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing culturally responsive care.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, personalized, and evidence-based. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can speak openly, explore challenges at your own pace, and make meaningful progress. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, trauma, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and feel more confident moving forward.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and develop a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your concerns, personal history, current challenges, strengths, and goals for treatment. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that reflects your needs and priorities. In ongoing sessions, we'll monitor your progress, explore patterns that may be contributing to your challenges, and develop practical coping strategies and skills you can apply in daily life. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, expressing yourself openly, and working toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
