Getting to know Charles Burgett

Over the past 18 years I have found clients seeking my assistance who are searching for ways to improve their lives. Many times we find ourselves either stuck or unable to break free from the thoughts, feelings or behaviors that seem to drag us down. Many people find it helpful to be able to voice their struggles to someone who will be non judgmental or condemning. I have found that people want to renew their hope for a better tomorrow, others need to regain their inner strength, while others long for a new vision of what their life could be. Couples are questioning "What went wrong with our marriage?" Together we explore and develop steps to build a better relationship. The same is true for the individuals I work with. Whether it be anger management, anxiety, depression, alcohol/ drug problems or out of control sexual issues, people come to the place where they want help. In my practice I find myself serving a varied clientele: teenagers, men, women, and LGBT. In theory I draw upon principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Reality Therapy, and others. I try to tailor my approach to the uniqueness of each individual or couple
