Getting to know Charles Schutt

I want to help anyone who feels they are not able to be their best, most authentic self. I work with clients to help them achieve their goals, whatever they may be. With a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Sarasota, I have extensive experience working with substance use and co-occurring disorders, but I find that everyone can have difficulties with their mental health. I strive to help everyone reach their desired potential by identifying obstacles and overcoming challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where clients feel heard and validated, while also challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may not align with a client's overarching goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I see therapy as a way for people who are perfectly of living and surviving on their own to find ways to improve their lives in whatever way they see fit. I utilize educational tools to build insight and find ways to identify patterns of behavior and change those deemed unwanted for future growth.
