I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate that is Trauma-certified. I have over ten years of experience working with families, at-risk youth and diverse populations. I bring a unique combination of clinical knowledge, educational expertise, and compassionate care to the counseling field. Throughout my professional career I have been able to assist and serve individuals with mental health concerns and issues, classroom teaching and case management. This has helped me to be well-rounded and to see things from different perspectives as well as the opportunity to see how individuals face and overcome challenges in their lives. Which has helped to equip me to be able to effectively support them. My previous experiences in the mental health and educational fields mean I not only understand developmental needs, but I also know how to communicate, motivate, and guide individuals toward personal growth and healing. Through these experiences I have also learned the most effective ways to build trusting relationships with clients from various backgrounds and walks of life. In addition, my long-standing commitment to community, strong communication skills, and a history of interdisciplinary collaboration allow me to work effectively within any team and with families. I believe in not only creating, but nurturing a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where clients feel heard and empowered. I am confident that my passion for helping others, and my strong ethical foundation helps me to create safe therapeutic space to walk with others as they reach their therapy goals.
