Psychotherapist
PA
Hello, I'm Charron, and I firmly believe that “happiness is an inside job.” This philosophy guides my approach to therapy and my work with clients. I have always been passionate about working in the mental health field, and my journey began at Georgia State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My path then took me to Huntsville, AL, where I received a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A & M University. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work with adolescents and teenagers in a residential setting. This experience taught me that children are deeply influenced by their community, upbringing, and the individuals in their lives. I firmly believe that there are no bad children, only those who need guidance and positive role models. Additionally, my work in a community mental health center provided me with valuable experience in the area of substance abuse. I learned that treatment goes beyond just saying no to drugs; it is a complex disease that affects people of all ages, races, and genders. Over the years, I have worked with a diverse range of populations in various settings, including state prisons, psychiatric hospitals, state schools, and other community-based agencies. This extensive experience has equipped me with a broad range of skills that I bring to my counseling practice. I specialize in helping clients with anger management, anxiety, depression, family relationships, intimate/romantic relationships, and stress. My professional goal is to help people work towards their own happiness. When you work with me, you can expect a compassionate and understanding approach. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards positive change. If you're ready to take the first step towards a happier and healthier life, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to find the path to your inner happiness.
