Chase Brewer, MS

Psychotherapist
UT
I understand that life can be very challenging and overwhelming at times and even more than we would like to admit. Anxiety, depression, marital struggles, and self-worth are at the forefront of the challenges we face. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed with troubling thoughts, feelings, experiences, and relationships. I have a unique skill set to listen and validate you in what you are going through, and to help you become a better version of yourself, to give you hope, encouragement and empowerment. My approach I use a variety of therapeutic modalities from CBT, Solution Focus, Client Center, John Gottman and more that best fits your needs of care. I first listen and hold space for you, to validate you and empathize appropriately with what you are experiencing. My focus I specialize in John-Gottman therapy that helps in building relationships, relationship connections. I also help individuals who struggle with anxiety or depression who are looking for new insights in helping themselves cope when things get hard. My communication style I like to see myself as an easy going therapist that works mindfully to speak gently throughout our sessions. I also developed a skill set to prepare you for when I need to be transparent and bold. My journey to mental healthcare I often share my experience when serving a church mission that those I helped were appreciative of the insights I shared, or the empathy I gave that helped them feel hopeful. I later took psychology classes in college that I quickly learned to enjoy that led me to become a provider. My goals for you I am a Home Work therapist. You can expect there to be weekly Homework assignments given for each session and I follow up to discuss the experiences you had and what you learned from it. My first session with you We will spend our first session getting to know each other and building rapport. I want to make you feel comfortable and safe that you can open up.
