Chase Summers, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Chase! My name is Chase Summers, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Central California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree from Fresno Pacific University Visalia Campus. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, stress, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. My approach My approach to therapy varies based on each client's needs. I most frequently use Client-Centered, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused, and Trauma-Informed approaches. I often integrate these with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Psychodynamic elements. My focus My style fits adults who identify as LGBTQIA+ (and those who don't), dealing with life transitions, trauma, relationship stressors, and substance use. These often present as anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, and/or co-occurring disorders. I help clients navigate these challenges and build skills for personal growth, inner peace, and healing. My communication style My communication style is gentle, calm, accommodating, and personable. I want clients to feel comfortable discussing anything and pride myself on listening without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare During our first session, we'll focus on your recent feelings, and I'll ask questions to understand why you might feel that way. This session builds our initial connection and helps me decide how to proceed. Everyone is different, so I prefer to listen first before determining the best way forward. My goals for you I became a therapist because I have always gravitated toward helping people.
