Che LeSeur treats patients starting at 6 years old. Che LeSeur is of African American and Caribbean/West Indian descent. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1990. She later earned her Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis in Mental Health Administration from San Diego State University in 1994. She obtained her licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1999. Following her MSW, Che began her career as a Protective Services Worker with Child Welfare Services (CPS) at the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, where she worked for nine years. During that time, she gained extensive professional experience serving and learning about the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, working with children who were dependents of the Juvenile Court and in foster care. Over the years, Che held per diem and part-time clinical positions treating the severely mentally ill in psychiatric settings. She practiced at PsyCare Inc. initially from 2003 until October 2011 and worked in other settings, including with the homeless population. Currently, Che balances her career working as a clinician in a correctional setting serving the juvenile justice system and adults with chronic mental illness in psychiatric settings. She returned to PsyCare Inc. in August 2019. Che possesses a broad range of experience in psychiatric, social service, and forensic settings. Her strengths include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, adjustment disorders, psychosis, trauma, grief and loss, and diversity-related issues. Her therapeutic approaches are primarily cognitive behavioral.
