Chelsea Boggess, LCSW

Psychotherapist
MT
Hi there, I'm Chelsea! My name is Chelsea Boggess, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Walla Walla University and 5 years of experience. My approach to therapy is client-centered and humanistic. I strive to create an environment of unconditional positive regard and understanding so clients can feel safe and comfortable exploring goals and taking steps toward personal growth in any areas of their lives. My approach I draw from several therapy modalities in my work with clients, always focusing on providing a nonjudgmental, client-centered experience. I have found that my most successful clinician-client relationships have been built through motivational interviewing at the forefront. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, specifically cognitive processing therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused, gestalt, positive psychology, and psychodynamic approaches. My focus I work with individual adult clients ranging from 18 to 80+ who face a wide range of life experiences and challenges. I have primarily worked with individuals struggling with trauma, moderate to severe anxiety and depression, panic disorders, grief, life transitions, and major health concerns. Additionally, I have supported clients with bipolar disorder, personality disorders, neurodivergence—primarily Autism spectrum, ADD, and ADHD—and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating acceptance, identity, or other issues. While I do not hold certifications or specializations for these populations, I bring professional therapeutic experience, empathy, compassion, a willingness to listen, and a strong desire to learn and expand my knowledge and skills both professionally and personally.
