Chelsea Cheek, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Chelsea supports individuals working through trauma, anxiety, depression, and patterns that feel hard to break. My approach Chelsea helps you slow down, notice what's happening beneath the surface, and build tools that support you in regulating your emotions, communicating more clearly, and creating boundaries that feel supportive rather than scary. The work is steady, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. You won't be rushed and you won't be judged. My focus Many of the people she works with describe feeling overwhelmed by their emotions, disconnected from joy, or stuck in cycles of people-pleasing, burnout, or shutting down. There may be a sense of I know something needs to change" but not knowing where to start. My communication style Chelsea shows up as a real person in the room - warm, thoughtful, and honest. She understands that reaching out for help can be one of the hardest steps to take. Her approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationship: with yourself, with your body, and with others. You don't have to navigate this alone. My journey to mental healthcare Chelsea grew up with dysfunction, addiction, and abuse in her childhood home. Not until she got to college and started learning more about how PTSD affects the brain in children/ teens/ adults as they get older. This fueled the fire inside her to go further and get a Masters degree in the mental health field where she could help anyone struggling. My goals for you Chelsea will meet you where you are, walk with you through the hard parts, and support you in building a life that feels more regulated, connected, and like your own. My first session with you In the first session, Chelsea will gather a history from the client. Going over intake documents, asking any further questions that feel pertinent to have the answer when first meeting. If time allows it, goals can be set at the end of the first session or we can wait until out next meeting.
